MIG Wire for Stainless Steel
(Austenitic-Ferritic Duplex Alloy)
Application:
MIG-2209 is designed to weld duplex stainless steels such as 2205 (UNS Number N31803). High tensile strength and improved resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting characterize the welds of this wire. This wire is lower in ferrite compared to that of base metal in order to obtain improved weldability.
Characteristics:
1. The welds offer excellent resistance to stress corrosion, cracking and pitting;
2.The microstructure of the weld metal consists of austenite and ferrite;
3.Welding of duplex stainless steels calls for controlled welding parameters to achieve specified mechanical and corrosion resistant properties;
4.Ink jet printing identification on entire length of electrode.
